Notes | Tequila Sunrise chile pepper is similar to the size and shape of a baby carrot. They are approximately 15 centimeters in length and somewhat fleshy with a crunchy texture and minimal seeds. They are usually sweet, but can occasionally develop a sharpness that is still far from spicy. The Tequila Sunrise Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 000 ~ 500 SHU. This variety of pepper is considered to be a chili pepper but is actually quite sweet and mild. It should not be confused with the Tequila pepper which is actually a purple-hued bell pepper. They are usually sweet, but can occasionally develop some heat similar to a poblano. Plants can get to 3 feet tall but often times they stay around 30 inches. This variety can be very productive in full sun and good soil. |
