Average outdoor weekly temperature is 33.6F. The greenhouse average weekly temperature is 51.5F and its thermostat was set around 45F. Today I've bumped the thermostat up to 55F to try and get some of the greenhouse trees to hopefully trigger flowering. |

Plant was just purchased recently in late winter and has been placed in a greenhouse kept at 40-50F with my other overwintering citrus. I'll be up potting it into a 5 or 10 gallon air pot shortly. |

Established/mature China S-2 Satsuma trees are cold hardy to 28F. They flower seasonally in the early spring (March-April). Satsumas need extended cold (1+ months at 40-55F) to flower well in spring. |

Motivation to get this tree is that Satsuma trees have excellent fruit as shown by the Owari and I want more sweet seedless zipper peel fruit. |
