4 new stainless steel 2-tier shelf sets have been put into the greenhouse to get plants a bit further up off the cold brick floor.

Average outdoor weekly temperature is 33.6F. The greenhouse average weekly temperature is 51.5F and its thermostat was set around 45F. Today I've bumped the thermostat up to 55F to try and get some of the greenhouse trees to flower/grow.

image Each plant is given 2-3 Jobe's container citrus spikes, a handful of G&B organic citrus & fruit tree fertilizer, a handful of miracle grow shake n feed citrus fertilizer, and deeply watered with Jack's 20-10-20 Citrus Feed. Mulched with rice hulls.

image There was some kind of damage/defficiency to the leafs when I got the plant but its looking better I think. All the citrus are given 2-4 sprayings of neem/soap before migrating from outdoors into the greenhouse to overwinter. Also lots of fertilizer.

Up potted into a 10 gallon air pot. Mixed a 5-1-1 soil from aged/composted fir bark fines, perlite, and peat or coco coir. I also add some 1/2" fir bark chunks and worm casings.

Motivation for getting this tree is that its a Citron/Lemon hybrid, cold sensitive, that can produce giant lemons. Even if they take a long time to ripen I can keep the trees at 45-50F on the edge of dormancy all winter while they hold fruit and resum
