SeedsIO is run by Stay Spicy Ltd ("we", "our", "us"). We operate the seedsio.com website and the SeedsIO Android app. This page explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What We Collect

Account Info

When you sign up we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we also get your Google profile ID. We don't access your Google contacts, files or anything else. You can disconnect Google access from your Google account settings.

Plant Data

Plants, notes, photos and other content you add is stored on our servers under your account.

Messages

If you contact us we may keep your name, email and message so we can reply.

Mobile App

The SeedsIO Android app uses these device features:

Camera: for scanning QR codes to look up plants. No photos are taken or sent unless you choose to upload one.
NFC: for reading NFC tags on plants. The tag data is only used to find the matching plant. It is not stored or shared.
Local storage: plant data is saved on your phone for offline use and syncs when you're back online.
Notifications: we may send notifications about sync status or updates. You can turn these off in your phone's settings.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and save your preferences like dark mode. We also use Google Analytics (if you consent) to understand how people use the site. We don't use advertising cookies.

Server Logs

When you visit the site our servers log your IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps. This helps us fix problems and isn't tied to your identity.

Your Rights

You can:

Access your data: ask us for a copy of what we have.
Correct your data: ask us to fix anything wrong.
Delete your data: ask us to remove it (unless we're legally required to keep it).
Export your data: ask for it in a portable format.
Object to processing in certain cases.

California residents can also ask what data we've collected. We don't sell personal data.

Children

SeedsIO is not for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, let us know and we'll remove it.

Changes

We may update this page. If anything big changes we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use SeedsIO after a change means you're OK with it.
